16,885 alcohol-related fatalities (39% of total traffic fatalities for the year)
254,000 alcohol-related personal injuries

2873 DWI/DWAI arrests
1783 convicted DWI offenders were under the supervision MC Office of Probation & Community Corrections
751 offenders on Probation were identified as "high-risk"

In 2004 there were:

247 alcohol-related motor vehicle crashes
28 alcohol-related fatalities
319 alcohol-related injuries
63 alcohol-related fatalities & injuries involving teens ages 15-19
347 of our community members, along with their families & friends, had their lives impacted by intoxicated driving
